Museum & Antiques

The old firehouse, which connects to Station 45, currently houses antique fire apparatus, tools, and memorabilia formerly used by the Newtown Fire Association. Monthly department meetings are held in the meeting room on the second floor of the old firehouse.

Construction has just begun on a climate controlled display case in the front of Station 45 that will be used to display antique fire apparatus. After the display is complete, the old firehouse and museum are scheduled to undergo a renovation, which should be completed by the middle of Summer 2009. These renovations are not being funded by any money acquired through taxes.
